Abstract

Basic factors that affect the leveling power (LP) of electrolytes are considered. Effect of the LP sign and magnitude on the surface microprofile of electrodeposited metals is discussed. Examples of application of periodic variations in LP for obtaining electrolytic metal deposits with a specified surface morphology are given.
