Hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde in liquid phase in the presence of copper supported catalysts

Abstract

Copper supported on zirconia is rather selective to cinnamic alcohol. The addition of chromium to such catalysts appreciably increased the activity while preserving a significant cinnamic alcohol selectivity.
