Abstract
Cyanoacetylene is an earlier intermediate in a proposedprebiotic synthesis of cytosine, while cyanoacetaldehyde is alater intermediate. There is no scientific basis for the claimthat cyanoacetaldehyde is more plausibly prebiotic thancyanoacetylene in this context.
