Abstract

Genetic and demographic information for the Yakut population living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is presented. The mean number of children per woman constituted 4.605. Crow's index (I tot) and its components (I m and I f) were 0.483, 0.104, and 0.343, respectively.
