Induced Acoustic Activity of Disordered Pb5Ge3O11

Abstract

A phenomenological model is proposed which provides an adequate description of the effect of induced pyroelectric ordering on the gyrotropy in lead germanate and can be used to calculate temperature-dependent components of the acoustic-activity tensor.
