Abstract

Functions of energy accumulated in reactive elements are shown to be universal efficiency indexes and define the mass, dimension, energy losses, and stability of a filtering circuit. Important properties of energy functions of classical filters are analyzed numerically and applied to elaborate new methods of designing reactive filters by energy criteria.
