Investigation of Limiting Diaphragms by the Diffraction Orders of Radiation of Various Spectral Lines

  • Published:
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy Aims and scope

Abstract

Limiting diaphragms of a micrometer cross‐section have been investigated under their illumination by monochromatic radiation of various wavelengths. The main analytical expressions relating the diaphragm radius to the diffraction orders of various spectral lines have been found. A new method of measurement having a higher accuracy compared to the known ones is proposed.
