Abstract
The paper is dedicated to estimating parameters of the process of damage accumulation on the base of restored frequencies of acoustic emission (AE) events and invariant AE destruction criteria. Experimental investigation of relations between AE parameters and features of early stages of fracture of layered composite materials and iron–aluminum alloys are presented. The paper describes a method for identification of destruction stages and prediction of remaining service lives based on AE measurements.
