Direct Acid-Catalyzed Hydration of Camphene as a Route to Isoborneol

Abstract

Heterogeneous homophase hydration of camphene in the presence of H4SiW1 2O4 0, H3PW1 2O4 0, or HClO4 was studied as a selective procedure for production of isoborneol.
