Determination of Methylphosphonic Acid and Its Esters as Chemical Markers of Organophosphorus Chemical Warfare Agents

Abstract

The feasibility of isolation and quantitative determination by gas chromatography of methylphosphonic acid and its mono- and dialkyl etsers, which originate from destruction of organophosphorus chemical warfare agents and have been detected in bitumen-salt compounds is examined.
