Metrological Investigation of Pyrographite High-Temperature Blackbodies

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

The results are reported from experimental investigations of the spectral radiance and irradiance distributions, the temperature gradient, and the effective emissivity of the radiating cavity of high-temperature pyrographite blackbodies designed at VNIIOFI (Scientific-Research Institute of Optophysical Measurements). An experimental method of determining the effective high-temperature emissivity of a blackbody is described.
