Abstract
We consider generation of high-frequency oscillations by an electromagnetic shock wave propagating under synchronism with the backward wave in coupled transmission lines having normal and anomalous dispersion and ferrite-based nonlinear elements. It is shown that the amplitude attenuation of generated oscillations can be significantly reduced due to an increase in the fraction of high-frequency energy flux in the anomalous-dispersion transmission line in which high-frequency losses are relatively low.
