Modernizing the Desulfurization Plant Using Contact Nits of the Vniius-14 Type

Abstract

The positive industrial experience in the use of contact devices of the VNIIUS-14 type in mono- and diethanolamine scrubbing of hydrogen sulfide from gases at oil refineries is described. The expediency of replacing bubble trays, whose operation is associated with extreme foaming with negative effects, by VNIIUS-14 contact devices operating in the jet-dispersion mode, which excludes foaming and consequently its negative consequences, is confirmed.
