Abstract
As the result of shock-wave impact on amorphous aluminum hydroxide placed in a brass cylinder of the preservation ampoule, it was possible to synthesize two phases with the spinel structure: ZnAl2O4 and (Zn0.3Al0.7)Al1.7O4. The x-ray patterns and the lattice parameters of the obtained phases are presented.
