A Tale of Two Phase Diagrams

Abstract

Two theoretical phase diagrams resulting from different approximate treatments of the Mott transition problem, capture the physics of different regimes (strong and weak frustration) of the strong correlation problem. We describe how they give physical insights into the behavior of real materials. We outline recent methodological developments, which hold great promise of a more unified and more quantitative treatment of strongly correlated electron systems.
