Investigation of the Contact Interaction between Two Layers with Regard for the Temperature Dependence of Friction and Wear Coefficients

Abstract

We consider the one-dimensional frictional contact problem of thermoelasticity for two layers. One of the layers has a mass and slides along the surface of the other one. We assume that the friction and wear coefficients depend on temperature, propose an iterative scheme of solution, and investigate contact characteristics.
