Abstract
In the framework of noncommutative field theory we discuss a deformation (ncNLS) of the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation. In particular, a first order equation in the deformation parameter is obtained which generates a (Seiberg-Witten-type) map from NLS to ncNLS solutions.
