Epoxidation of 5-Vinyl-2-norbornene with tert-Butyl Hydroperoxide, Catalyzed with Transition Metal Compounds

Abstract

Epoxidation of 5-vinyl-2-norbornene with tert-butyl hydroperoxide in the presence of Mo, V, and Ti compounds was studied. The optimal conditions for synthesis of 2,3-epoxy-5-vinylnorbornane were found.
