Synthesis of a High-Energy-Capacity Compound, Tetrammine-cis-bis(nitro-2H-tetrazolato-N2)cobalt(III) Perchlorate

Abstract

The conditions for preparing tetrammine-cis-bis(nitro-2H-tetrazolato-N 2)cobalt(III) perchlorate and the nature of impurities affecting the yield and purity of the target product were studied. The compound can be efficiently prepared using microwave heating.
