Synthesis and IR Spectroscopic Study of Molecular Complexes of Molybdenum Oxotetrachloride with Azomethines

Abstract

Molecular complexes of MoOCl4with benzal- and salicylalanilines were synthesized, and their IR spectra were investigated. The complexes have octahedral structure. Salicylalaniline and its derivatives were suggested to be coordinated by the central atom through the carbonyl oxygen atom of quinoid tautomeric form.
