Specific Features of Radiation Inheritance

Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Specific features of the radiation inheritance of metals and alloys are analyzed. A conclusion on the irreversible changes in the structure of materials after irradiation is drawn. Mechanisms of inheriting the radiation effects in the process of high-temperature transformation of materials are suggested. The concentration microinhomogeneities initiated in the preliminary irradiated defect structure of the material are shown to be the genetic factor of the radiation inheritance.
