Abstract

A representation of solutions to the system of differential equations for the statics of elastic, transversely isotropic, mildly sloping shells is found in the form of a series in terms of a parameter that characterizes the difference of the median surface from spherical. Recurrence relations are obtained that can be used for solving boundary value problems by expansion in terms of a small parameter to arbitrary approximations.
