Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

We have derived an integral equation for the current in a loop antenna with a finite gap. We consider the cases of excitation of the loop antenna by an a.c. voltage applied to the gap and by the electromagnetic field of a plane wave. We have obtained the solution of the integral equation for excitation of a loop antenna by an a.c. voltage. We present a formula for the input admittance of a loop antenna that is valid at high frequencies.
