Abstract
An analysis of the capabilities gained from application of high-temperature melting and solidification phase transitions for precision reproduction of radiometric quantities in the visible and ultraviolet bands of the spectrum is presented. The design of black bodies that function at the phase transition points of the eutectics Ir–C and Re–C and a measuring device for studying these black bodies are described. Results from measurements of the temperatures and reproduction of the spectral density of energy brightness at the melting and solidification points of Ir–C and Re–C are presented.
