Computational-Experimental Study of the Energy Transformation Function of a Bonner Sphere Detector

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

A computational-experimental technique, incorporating Monte Carlo computation of the moderator efficiency in the form of an energy transformation function and an integral experiment in the neutron field in the experimental room of the BR-1 pulsed reactor has been approved, using a spherical moderator of diameter 25.0 cm as an example. The computational and experimental results agree to within 10%.
