Reaction of Cobalt(III) Diaquatetrammine Cation with 5-(3-Nitrophenyl)tetrazole

Abstract

A series of cobalt(III) tetrazolate tetrammine complexes were prepared by reaction of cobalt(III) diaquatetraammine perchlorate with 5-(3-nitrophenyl)tetrazole. The factors affecting this reaction were studied. The reaction was thermally activated both by common heating with an external heater and microwave heating. Thermolysis of the tetrazolate complexes was studied.
