Abstract
Solutions of sodium salts of native and sulfonated humic acids are studied as to their stability with respect to strong electrolytes. The parameters proposed for determining the physicochemical properties of humate solutions include not only their stability with respect to salts of alkaline-earth metals (coagulation thresholds) but also the sensitivity of these compounds to the action of HCl (humic acid formation thresholds) and KCl (salting-out thresholds).
