A Simulation Method for Semicollisional Plasmas

Abstract

We present a one dimensional kinetic simulation model which can be used to simulate the stationary state of a semicollisional plasma. Results of a simple simulation are presented and compared to Fokker-Planck calculations. The model is particularly well suited for the diluted solar atmosphere.
