Direct and Inverse Problems of Thermal Design of a Lining under Stationary Regime

  • Published:
Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

Abstract

Direct and inverse problems of thermal design of a plane multilayer lining serving under a stationary regime are formulated. Formulas for solving the direct problem aimed at computing the temperature field of the cross section of the lining and the inverse problem aimed at computing the thickness of layers in the cross section of the lining are derived. It is suggested that the computation of the temperature field in the cross section of the lining should be performed by the method of solving the direct problem, while the thickness of its cross section should be determined by the method of solving the inverse problem.
