Determination of Some Functions of the Roots of the Characteristic Equation for a Viscoelastic Transversely Isotropic Body

Abstract

The properties of resolvent operators and a continuous fraction operator technique are used to interpret functions of the roots of the characteristic equations encountered in stress concentration problems for viscoelastic, transversely isotropic bodies.
