Chains of Heavily Shunted Josephson Junctions with Binary Taps

Abstract

General principles are described for using digital-analog converters based on the Josephson effect, and test data are presented on eight-bit chains of Josephson junctions of SINIS type made in the PTB Technical Physics Institute in Germany.
