Human-Induced Changes in the Diatom Communities of Lake Imandra

Abstract

The results of the analysis of diatoms from 25-cm-long cores of bottom sediments of Lake Imandra (the Kola Peninsula) are presented. Three phases of the human-induced transformation of the lake are identified on the basis of these data.
