Catalysis Involving Multicentered Species on Nonuniform Surfaces, 1. Adsorption

Abstract

The multi-centered nature of adsorption as well as adsorbate-adsorbate interactions is discussed. The Bragg-Williams approximation of the lattice gas model was chosen for the description of these interactions. A derivation of adsorption isotherm based on statistical mechanics is presented.
