Synthesis and structure of a bis(ethynyl)-substituted oxahexacyclic cage ether

Abstract

Intramolecular dehydration of a cage-diol results in the title compound. This crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c; a = 8.6403(8), b = 9.5698(7), c = 14.062(1) Å β = 107.47(7)° and Z = 4.
