Abstract
The starburst(PAMAM)dendrimer of generation 0 was reacted with pentaammine-triflato-chromium(III) and -cobalt(III). The products were separated by ion exchange chromatography and characterized by elemental analysis, UV-VIS-, IR-, 13C-spectroscopy or cyclic voltammetry. The dendrimer forms five membered chelate rings containing amine and amide nitrogens and binds one or two metal ions.
