Stress intensification due to an edge crack in an anisotropic elastic solid

Abstract

Integral transform techniques are used to determine the stress intensity factors of a crack at the edge of an anisotropic elastic half space under generalized plane strain conditions. Numerical results are given for a carbon fibre reinforced epoxy in uniaxial tension.
