Abstract

The stress intensity factors (SIFs) corresponding to the internal multiple cracks in a finite plane was first given by Cheung et al. (1992). In this paper the similar method is used further for SIF calculation of the edge multiple cracks. Based on the method, the SIFs of the general multiple cracks which may be internal or edged can be calculated.
