Abstract

The dynamics of maximum oxygen consumption and ergometric indices was studied during a one-year-long training cycle in 35 competitive skiers aged 17–18. The study revealed three types of individual organization of energy supply to skeletal muscles. The energy supply type displayed a sufficiently stable structure. The reaction of the energy systems to purposeful training depended on the type of the subject's energy supply.
