Abstract
A theoretical model has been developed describing the coherent coupling of two lasers in a common cavity with an internal lens and a Fourier-filter. An analytical expression for the locking range of the lasers was derived which was experimentally proved using two diode- pumped solid-state lasers. By thermally detuning one laser and analysing the far field pattern, the locked and the unlocked state of the lasers were identified.
