  • Published:
Transition Metal Chemistry Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

Diazotization of aromatic primary amines with the nitrosyl group derived from [OsX(NO)L2](ClO4)2, L= 2-(m-tolylazo)pyridine; X=Cl (1a), X=NO2 (1b) is described. The reaction sequence was followed by isolating the products at various stages; the products were characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods.
