Abstract
To study the characteristics of recombinant thin aggregative fimbriae of salmonella and to develop a vaccine for salmonella infections, the AgfA subunit gene was amplified from Salmonella entiritidis using PCR. Maltose binding protein (MBP)-AgfA fusion protein was over-produced in E. coli and purified. Antibody against MBP-AgfA was prepared and its immunogenicity was studied.
