Abstract
The gas phase alkylation of isobutane with butenes and the cracking of cumene over zeolite catalysts show oscillating behavior. The oscillating is described in terms of competing oscillatory absorption phenomena. The formation of coke is examined as one of the competibehavior ng processes in both reactions.
