Abstract

The temperature dependence of the isotope effect on the Henry's law constantof 4He/3He in aqueous solution is calculated from simple model systems. Thecavity in the liquid in which the atom moves is described by spherical anharmonicpotentials. The experimental data can be reproduced with sufficient accuracyfrom a potential with two free parameters. Numerical problems of the fittingprocedure are discussed in detail.
