Hubble Space Telescope Observations of Nebular Morphologies and Their Implications

Abstract

The morphologies of nebulae, as revealed by HST observations are presented. Mechanisms for the formation of axisymmetric and ‘point-symmetric’ nebulae are reviewed. Critical observations that can test the models presented in this paper are suggested.
