Abstract
The influence of electron beam irradiation on the fluorocarbon rubber vulcanizates at varying levels of the curative—hexamethylenediamine carbamate is reported. A higher crosslinking density, reducedelongation at break, increased modulus (both static and dynamic),decreased loss tangent value at T g and increased glasstransition temperature have been observed for the irradiated rubbers, as compared to the control rubber. The results are explained with thehelp of structure.
