  • Published:
Journal of Materials Science Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

A general overview on the field of solid state ionics, including materials and transport property, is presented. Superionic systems in the composite electrolyte phase are discussed in great detail. Possible theoretical models suggested to understand the ion-transport mechanism in these systems are reviewed extensively.
