Abstract
The interfacial response of a glass fibre/unsaturated polyester resin matrix composite has been evaluated by means of single fiber pull-out tests. The nature of fibre sizing, more specifically sizing solubility, affects the debonding behavior. A confrontation of experimental data to current micromechanical models, assuming either mechanical or energetic criteria, proves quite efficient in relating stability of the debonding process to sizing characteristics.
