Analysis of data on higher education in Greece by scientific area

Abstract

Survey data collected by the Ministry of Education for the academic year 1993–94 from all university departments in Greece are organized in a database and analyzed by scientific area. Conclusions are drawn on the composition of student and faculty body, student to faculty ratios, women representation, postgraduate programs and research activities, tenure percentages, and the similarities and differences among disciplines.
