Determination of s-Triazine Herbicides by Micellar Electrokinetic Chromatography Using Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate

Abstract

It was shown that Simazine, Atrazine, Propazine, and Prometryne can be separated by micellar electrokinetic chromatography using sodium dodecyl sulfate as a micelle-forming agent. The detection limits were found to be 0.1 mg/L for Simazine and 0.05 mg/L for Atrazine, Propazine, and Prometryne at a signal-to-noise ratio of 2 in a buffer electrolyte containing 10 mM sodium tetraborate and 30 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate. The time of separation was 12 min.
