Abstract

Radical polymerization of N-vinylcaprolactam in isopropanol, initiated with azobis(isobutyronitrile), was studied with the aim to prepare polyvinylcaprolactam of controllable molecular weight. The rate and degree of polymerization are influenced by the reaction mixture composition.
